Turner, Beulah Raleigh, age 97, of Franklin passed away on Friday, March 5, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 9, 1923 in Wolf Coal, Kentucky to the late Elliott and Elizabeth (Turner) Raleigh. Beulah is also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Samie Turner, her son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Pat Turner, brothers, Edgar, Fred and Leonard, her son-in-law, Paul Banks, grandson-in-law, Michael Halenkamp and a great- grandson, Nolan Halenkamp. She is survived by three daughters, Janet (David) Hayes, Gail Rieger and Debbie Banks; two sisters, Georgia Turner and Blanche (Robert) Spicer; nine grandchildren, Todd (Tammy) Hayes, Kelly (Kevin) Rutledge, Fred Samuel (Jenn) Turner, Gina (Chris) Sizemore, Chris Banks, Billy (Yahara) Turner, Erin Halenkamp, Jeremy (Lesa) Banks, Bethany (Gary) Smith. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. Beulah was a graduate of Miami University with a BA Degree in Education. She retired from the Franklin City School System having taught elementary education at Central and Pennyroyal Elementary Schools. A lifelong Baptist, Beulah attended several Baptist Churches including Travelers Rest Old Regular Baptist Church, where her husband pastored. Beulah was a faithful Christian, reading her Bible at least twice a year; a gifted cook and chief chef and supervisor of family feasts; a master quilt designer and quilter who, for years, made by hand thirteen quilts for each of her children and grandchildren who today still treasure and display them proudly in their homes; a successful member of society who never missed a presidential vote-even at the age of 97 during a pandemic; an educator herself who stressed the importance of education and was so proud when any family graduation occurred; a collector of angels and dolls; the matriarch of our family whose loss will never be adequately stated. Graveside services with interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at the Springboro Cemetery with her grandson, Reverend Fred Samuel Turner officiating.
