Bill Back, age 73 of Carlisle, Ohio passed away at his home on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. Born in Middletown, Ohio on April 5, 1953, he was one of 7 children, and the only son to the late Buster & Carrie (South) Back. Bill was a graduate of Middletown High School, Class of 1971. He then married the love of his life, Pamela Hampton on October 29, 1971. He retired from Akers Packaging in Middletown after 42 years of service. In his younger years he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He will be truly missed. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 3 sisters, Elaine Current, Barb Weaver and Anita K. Back.
Survived by his wife, Pamela Back: 2 children, Melissa (Jeff) Clark; William Back; and one granddaughter Claire Clark: sisters Evelina Banks, Linda McKinney, Naomi Wagers: brother-in-law Rodney Hampton: as well as numerous nieces and nephews, friends and family.
Friends may call on the family from 3:00 PM- 5:00 PM on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 E 2nd St, Franklin, Ohio 45005. Funeral service to be held at 5PM with Pastor Dan Flory presiding. Memorial contributions may be made to Throat Cancer Research at the American Cancer Society- PO Box 6704 Hagerstown, MD 21741- in Honor of Bill.
