
Bruce was a 1964 graduate of Mason H.S. He retired from Carlisle Local Schools in 1995 after 27 years as a mathematics teacher as well as a basketball, golf and track coach. He was a mentor to students in their academics, life skills and development of their faith in God. He was a long-time member of the New Jersey Presbyterian Church. Bruce loved learning new skills and then teaching these skills to others. He enjoyed playing games, especially bridge, with his friends and family. He also performed as a stage actor in local theater productions. Upon retirement, Bruce and Sue enjoyed traveling and spending time with their grandchildren. Bruce will be remembered for his fun-loving personality and his loyalty and devotion to others. Bruce was a faithful, loving man and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Sue (Paris) Walker; daughters, Alyson (Matthew) Anderson and Kristie (Scott) Thompson; grandchildren, Helen, Claire, Quinn, Rowan and Shea; brothers, Thomas and Donald (Gerry) Walker; many nieces and nephews and dear friend, Ernie Dalton.
A celebration of Bruce’s life will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at the Chautauqua Park Auditorium, 9985 Camp Trail, Miamisburg 45342 with the Rev. Rob Fulton officiating. A reception will be held immediately following the service. Arrangements entrusted to Anderson Funeral Home, Franklin, OH.
