Cameron, two years later and you still pop into mind every now and then. I hope you're doing okay, wherever you went off to. I know we didn't talk much and really only had passing conversations, but your energy was still so warm and welcoming.  I know a lot of other people felt the same way.  I had always wanted to be better friends, yknow? You felt safe. Don't be a stranger in the next life man 💘

I am thinking of you today Cameron. I remember when I would walk out of Hawk Haven, I would see you sitting in the same chair you did. And even after you passed, one day I was walking in the building and I could've sworn I saw you sitting there, I wonder if you were visiting us? I miss you, I hope you are at peace. 

Lit a candle in memory of Cameron Matthew Baker

James and I had the Baker's over for our 2017 Christmas dinner.  The dinner was taking a very-very long time to get done, as this was James first attempt at prime rib. Cameron, Abi, and Clara happily joined in with everyone in pleasant and sometimes quite intellectual conversation.  No one was worried about the food!  The good company and delicious meal made it a delightful day!  That evening, I remember James and I smiling and both agreed that was the most we heard Cameron say in one sitting, and how proud we were of him and the girls for growing up to have such beautiful souls.  I also remember us smiling and knowing how blessed we are to be good friends with the Baker's.  They are good people, family.  We love them all so very much, and we know without a doubt that they love us back.  :-) James & Teena Kerby  08-14-18.

Cameron was one of coolest, composed and polite young man I ever met. He always looked like nothing bothers him.
I 
One day while hanging Christmas lights he helped hold the ladder for me. When I tried to give him some money, he smiled and waved me off.
He said you don’t charge for helping people.
I had the pleasure of knowing Cameron for about 10 years now, and he was such a remarkable person who impressed me from day one.
Now I will miss him till I pass.
My outlook on life changed that day,
I will never forget him

I had the pleasure of working with Cameron at Hawk Haven at Miami University Middletown. He was a great kid and will be missed. Praying for the family.

I used to teach kids at the Vineyard church and Cameron was one of my kids and then he was a helper. He was always funny and a great helper. Even after not teaching he always spoke to me. My prayers go to this family in this time. Jerri Gray

I only knew Cameron less than a year, I transferred from WSU to MUM Last fall. To this day, I never regret meeting Cameron. Cameron is an incredible person. He was and always be our Hawk Haven family. I appreciate and always will the moments I have spent with Cameron. I pray to God that the Baker family will find peace. Rest in Piece Cameron, we will miss you!

Sending my prayers to Cameron’s family. My heart is full of sadness and eyes filled with many tears. I remember in 6th grade Cameron was so outgoing, funny, nice and friends with everybody. If you ever had a bad day or were upset, Cameron would do anything to make you smile. (Which he always was successful at doing). He always had the funniest jokes and a smile on his face. The Class of 2017 misses you dearly & you’ll be in all of our hearts.

Cameron was my best friend. Even outside of school and after we started college we would spend time together. From 7th grade to now we were the best of friends. My heart is broken, and I am devastated about everything. My prayers go out to everyone including his family.
