

Charles Melvin Fiske, age 91, of Riverside, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on February 14, 1935, Charles lived a long and meaningful life defined by devotion to family, hard work, compassion, and quiet strength.
Charles was a loving husband to his wife, Kathy, and a proud and devoted father whose greatest joy came from spending time with his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and loved ones. He was known for his steady presence, gentle heart, and willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His wisdom, sense of humor, and caring nature left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
An avid golfer, Charles spent many happy days on the golf course enjoying the game he loved. He was also a passionate fan of Dayton Flyers men's basketball and rarely missed the opportunity to cheer on the Flyers. Charles was proud to serve as Past President of the Milton Athletic Club, where he formed many lifelong friendships and remained active in the community for many years. Whether watching a game, sharing stories with friends, or enjoying time with family, Charles found joy in life’s simple moments and the people he loved most.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy; his sons, Mark Fiske (Jodie), Chuck Fiske (Lisa), and Tim Jones (Lisa); his daughters, Ruth Fiske and Tammy Tobe (Doug); his brother, Steve Fiske (Marla); and his sister, Joan Faulkner. He also leaves behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mark Fiske; his mother, Nina Fiske; his son, Greg Fiske; and his brother, Mike Fiske.
Charles will be remembered for the love he shared, the values he instilled in his family, and the countless memories created throughout his life. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy will continue through the family he loved so dearly and the many lives he touched along the way.
A celebration of life will be held Tuesday May 19, 2026 at the Kettering Masonic Center , Alpha Lodge 2251 S. Smithville Rd. Kettering OH from 4-8PM.
