Charles Thomas Neal

Charles Thomas Neal, age 77, of Chautauqua, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Hospice of Butler-Warren Counties. Tom was born in Ironton, Ohio on April 19, 1939 to the late Stanley and Thelma Neal.

Tom received his BA from Rio Grande University and his MA from Miami University, Oxford. He taught in the Franklin and Carlisle Shools Systems before becoming the Director of Special Education for theWarren County Schools. He served as the Director for both the Doty House in Middletown and the Fairview Home in Carlisle. He retired from Community Concepts in Mason, OH. Tom was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed by his family.

Tom will be missed by his loving wife of 54 years, Karen Neal; daughter, Jennifer Neal of Beaumont, CA, sons, Christopher Neal and Michael (Leona) Neal, both of Carlisle; grandchildren, Sydney and Ryan and Branden Neal, many members of the Holtzapfel family, and special friends, Marilyn (George) Vanlandingham, and Janet Harrison.

Family will receive friends Monday, August 1, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 E. Second St., Franklin, OH with graveside services to follow at 12:30 p.m. at Miami-Corwin Cemetery, Waynesville, OH.
