OBITUARY

Christina Jakobsen

November 10, 1976October 10, 2020

Christina Sue (Truett) Jakobsen, age 43, passed away unexpectedly on October 10, 2020. She was born on November 14, 1976, in Miamisburg Ohio. She is preceded in death by her father Maurice Truett and her mother Vickie (Lawless) Truett. She leaves behind her loving husband Martin Philipp Jakobsen, who was grateful for the almost 21 years they had together, as well as the pride and joys of her life, her son David Charles Truett and Mikayla Marie Truett. Her loss is also deeply felt by her younger brother Anthony and wife Natalie Truett, and sister Angela Truett as well as all of their children.

Christina touched the heart and souls of people across two continents, having lived in Denmark for 10 years of her life, where everyone she met, loved her. She loved to travel and discover the world until her physical limits stopped that, turning instead to reading and exploring virtually. She lived to take care of her family, putting their health and happiness before anything else. She achieved her lifelong dream of working in a laboratory both in Denmark and the United States. She was the kindest, smartest woman her husband had ever met and cherished every moment they had together.

There will be no public memorial service because of the pandemic we are currently living through. We as a family took extra precautions because of COVID-19 and it is in her spirit that we celebrate her life in a small, safe, family setting instead. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to any autism charity of your choice.

In 2016 Christina became my actual sister in law. I had known her 3 years prior. She was such a kind hearted, give you her last dollar, kind of person. I am an only child and I was thrilled my husband had two sisters, that I could actually now consider mine through marriage. Unfortunately, with health issues with Christina and her brother (my husband) became very ill around the same time. Her extremely amazing husband was caring for her and their 2 kids. I also was caring for my husband and my stepson. We just ran out of time to catch up with each other and talk. Either Christina was sick or my husband was. It was truly unfortunate. I know she is with the family in heaven as well as with us down here, as well. That brings so much comfort.
Martin and to my niece and nephew, you are very loved, and know that who is left of this family loves you all SO MUCH! We are here for you at any time!
