

Clyde Martin passed away June 19th at Atrium Medical Center. He was 82 years old. He was born in Painesville, Ohio in 1933. He was preceded in death by his Father and Mother and by nine brothers and sisters. Clyde is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary, two sons, Scott Martin and Steve Martin (Lisa); daughter-in-law, Lynne Martin; four grandchildren: Zach Martin (Lindsay), Alexandria DeVore, Bryanna Lape (Charles) and Quinn Martin and by three great-grandchildren: Caelan Lape and Zayden and Zoey Martin and by two sisters: Fanny Lou Pike and Margaret (Larry) Oslund.
Clyde was a Vice President with Mid Fed Savings Bank as well as a Financial Advisor with Comprehensive Counseling Services. After returning to school in 1990 he was ordained a Deacon in the Episcopal Church in 1994. He served at The Church of The Ascension and at St. Francis Episcopal Church in Springboro until he retired in 2007. Some of Clyde’s happiest moments were when he was serving his Lord and the church in this capacity.
Clyde was an active member of Middletown Symphony Board, Midfest, Kiwanis, American Heart Association Walk in Middletown, Leadership Middletown, Junior Achievement, and Summer Youth Theater.
Services will be Friday, July 3rd at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Episcopal Church, 225 North Main St. Springboro, Ohio, The Reverend Walter J. Mycoff, Jr. officiating. A reception will follow at which time the family will receive guests.
