
Constance A. (Connie) Brandenburg, 85, of Franklin, Ohio, passed away Friday, July 3, 2015. She was born in Middletown, Ohio, the daughter of the late Horace and Ruth (Eisenmenger) Bailey. Connie was a graduate of Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio. She received her Master of Education degree from Miami University. Connie was employed with Franklin City Schools for 21 years until retiring in 1991. Connie believed firmly in the value of education and she was recognized for her commitment to the youth of Franklin by being named Teacher of the Year in 1986. In addition, she was a Jennings Scholar for the 1983-84 school year, a statewide honor bestowed upon outstanding educators in Ohio. Connie participated in and led many civic and community activities over the years enhancing her hometown for her family and neighbors. Connie was a member of Franklin United Methodist Church and was recently recognized for her 50-year membership. Connie was a generous, caring and compassionate woman who will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Charles E. Brandenburg, and brother, John H. Bailey. Connie is survived by her children, Marilyn Winn, Charles (Paula) Brandenburg, James (Stacy) Brandenburg and Gail Brandenburg; four grandchildren, Andrew Winn, Nicholas (Vera) Winn, Brian (Rachyl) Brandenburg and Jessica Brandenburg; and great-grandson, Mason Brandenburg. Funeral service will be Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at 1:00 pm at Anderson Funeral Homes, 1357 East Second Street, Franklin, Ohio. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until the time of the service.
