Dale Harris

Dale Harris, 83 of Franklin, passed away peacefully, July 17, 2026 with Lisa by his side. Dale was born April 23, 1943 in Middletown, Ohio to the late William J. and Daisy (Belcher) Harris. Also preceding his death was his beloved wife of 37 years Gwen in November 2023, his first wife Virginia Harris, siblings, Gerald Harris, Joan Kelly, Barbara Harris.

Dale leaves to cherish his memory, daughters Lisa Harris, Debby Stewart; grandson Zach (Meagan) Asberry; great-grandson Zane; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and his loyal “girl" Lucy his pet dog.

Dale was a graduate of Franklin High School class of 1962 where he played football, basketball, track and field and held the long jump record for many years. He was a member of the Franklin Eagles #2309. He retired in 1995 from Iron Workers Local #290 after 35 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles and definitely stop somewhere along the way for a beer. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife, camping, hanging out by the campfire with all of their friends. He enjoyed hunting, playing softball, horseshoes, cards and a game of pool. He enjoyed going to auctions looking for antiques and unique items. He enjoyed watching women’s softball, football, men's and women's basketball and horse racing. Everyone that knew Dad, that wherever he went he just wanting to have a good time with friends, sit by a campfire with a beer in hand, full cooler and listen to some good country music.
