

Daniel B. Storie, age 72, of Trenton passed on Monday morning at Atrium Medical Center in Middletown, Ohio. He was born in 1939 in McDowell Ky , and was the 12th child of William and Amerzee McCloud Storie. Dan was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Jack and Ted, and a sister Mae Storie Moore. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sue Maggard Storie and his daughter, Michelle Storie Ramage Brad of Bargersville, Indiana, seven sisters, Eula Storie Stumbo, Ola Storie Patton, Joyce Storie Cable Hollis, Dixie Storie Turner Orville, Helen Storie Nicola, Bonnie Storie Burchwell, Frances Storie Stapelton Bud, one brother Doug Storie, many nieces and nephews, two step grandchildren, five step great grandchildren, his cat Ms.Kitty, and his two granddogs Xena the Rottweiler and Ms.Bella the Dachshund.
After coming to Middletown with Sue in 1959, Dan sold advertising for the Middletown Journal and the Franklin Chronicle. He also opened and managed the Dayton Mall for 9 1/2 years and was subsequently involved in commercial property management. He was deeply involved in his community and became a founding member of the Franklin Jaycees, an active member of the Middletown Optimist Club, Kiwanis Club and Lions Club International. He most recently served as the President of the Trenton Fishing Club.
Dan's loving heart and daily jokes will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday Oct. 7th from 2-5:00 PM, at the Trenton Fishing Club, 225 Potter St. Trenton, Ohio.
