Danny Lee Riley, a hard-working and gentle family man, passed away on November 2, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on July 28, 1960, Danny graduated from the Warren County Career Center in 1978 and then furthered his education at the Hobart Institute of Welding Technology, graduating in 2011. His career was marked by dedication as he worked with Goodyear and General Motors Moraine Truck & Bus until 2009, and later with Sun Chemical until his retirement in 2019.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Arkansas Riley Jr. and Marjorie Jean (Flannery) Riley; his nieces, Rebecca Jean Roberds and Christy Riley; and his sisters-in-law, Mattie Ruth Riley and Cathy Riley. Danny is survived by his two daughters, Lisa (Michael) Morgan, Beth (Josh) Combs; and two grandchildren, Emma and Luke. He also leaves behind the mother of his children, Debbie Riley; his two brothers, Mike Riley and James Riley; his sister, Judy (Ken) Roberds; and his cousin, Ronnie Riley.
While in his younger years, Danny was a thrill-seeking Harley guy, these days he found joy in simple pleasures: classic rock and bluegrass music, quiet drives in the country, and spending time with his friends and family, including his granddogs Baxter, Gizmo, Ollie, and Newman. One of his favorite ways to spend an afternoon was at Caesar’s Creek watching the boats. He also had a silly side, and no one thought Danny was funnier than Danny. He loved to laugh, which is a trait he passed onto his girls. Lisa and Beth still giggle when they recall their favorite “dad-isms,” which were sometimes playfully sarcastic, but always rooted in love.
Danny’s friendships were strong and true. He kept his circle small intentionally, and cherished his close friends, who knew he would always be there when they needed him. That’s when he was happiest and most at peace--when he was with his friends and family. Danny will be remembered for his gentle nature, his loyal character, and his boundless ability to love.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Anderson Funeral Home Franklin, located at 1357 E. 2nd St., Franklin, OH 45005, on November 10, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
