

Donald E. Haussman Jr., of Franklin, Ohio, passed away on August 20, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend whose kindness, faith, humor, and generosity touched the lives of everyone who knew him.
Born in Dayton, Ohio, to Donald E. Haussman Sr. and Norma Haussman, Don graduated from Meadowdale High School. He later attended Miami-Jacobs Career College in the 1980s, where he met the love of his life, Debra. Their meeting began a partnership that would span 40 years of marriage, built on love, faith, laughter, and unwavering devotion.
Don enjoyed a long and successful career in information technology. He worked for many years providing IT support for EDS and later retired from DNI, a defense contractor supporting Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Throughout his career, he was respected for his knowledge, professionalism, and willingness to help others.
Above all else, Don loved the Lord and his family. He was known for his amazing sense of humor, warm personality, and caring spirit. Whether offering a helping hand, a listening ear, or a perfectly timed joke that caught everyone off guard, Don had a special gift for making people feel valued and loved. His laughter and lighthearted nature brought joy to countless family gatherings and friendships over the years.
He is survived by his beloved wife of almost 40 years, Debra Haussman; his daughter, Katherine Brewster, and her husband, Frank; his sister, Debra Masters, and her husband, Pat; his brother-in-law, Charles Johnson, and his wife, Debbie; his nephew, Patrick (PJ) Masters; his niece, Nikki Behrendt, and her husband, Rob; and many other cherished family members and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald E. Haussman Sr. and Norma Haussman and his in-laws Charles Boomershine and Dorothy Boomershine.
Don's legacy is one of faith, love, compassion, and laughter. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though we grieve his passing, we take comfort in knowing that Don is now resting in the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, reunited with eternal peace and joy.
Visitation & Funeral Service: Visitation at 11 am-1 pm on Tuesday, August 25, 2025, Poasttown First Church of God, 6376 Germantown Rd Middletown, Ohio 45042. Funeral service will be held at 1 pm, with burial to follow at Highland Cemetery, 723 Upper Miamisburg Rd, Miamisburg, Ohio 45342.
