

Donald Red Miller, of Trenton age 78, died at his home, Saturday, July 20, 2013. He was born in Preble County and attended Gratis School. He was employed at AK Steel Tech Repair Department, retiring in 1992 and worked at Dayton Phoenix Group for five years. Don served in the U.S. Marines as a 2nd Lieutenant and was a member of DAV, VFW, Moose Lodge 501, Amvets, American Legion and had served on Color Guard, Buckeye Sheriffs Association and a Kentucky Colonel. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Carlotta Miller Jo; daughters, Gina Miltenberger of Monroe, Nicky Helsinger Mark of Franklin, Staci Raney James of Middletown, Jeanne McCoy of Gratis, Donna Fields Kenny of Indian Springs; grandchildren, JC Helsinger, Alex and Ryan Miltenberger, Blain McCoy, Jennifer Keeton Rick, Jessica Vussie; and a great grandson, Elijah Keeton. He was preceded in death by parents, James and Elizabeth Caudill and son-in-law, Monte Miltenberger. Don enjoyed flying, motorcycles, fishing and his outdoor space.
