
Dorothy Jean Dixon, age 80, of Franklin, OH; passed away on Wednesday April 6, 2011 at her residence. Dorothy was born in Middletown, OH on August 1, 1930 to Kenneth and Florence Pauline (Leppert) Hoffman. She was a life member of St Paul Lutheran Church, a member of the Ding-a-lings, the stitch and Chatter Club, and an avid card player. Dorothy was a past member of the Franklin Library Board, was employed by Logan Long Roofing Company and was a bookkeeper for the Franklin School System. For 30 years she was the office manager for the Dixon Construction Company in Franklin and was very devoted to her family. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William Dixon, her granddaughter Mary Elizabeth Dixon, her brother Paul Hoffman. She is survived by 2 twin sons Scott Dixon and wife Amy of Terra Haute, IN, Stuart Dixon and wife Kathleen of Franklin; grandchildren Steven, Brian (Katrina), Samuel, Katelynn, and Anne; great grandson Noah; a great granddaughter Olivia; a brother Robert Hoffman of Franklin, a sister Betty Uhlenbrock of Urbana; and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. A memorial service will be held Saturday April 16, 2011 at 2pm at St Paul Lutheran Church 500 E. 2nd St Franklin, OH with Rev. Ronald Mueller officiating. Visitation will be from 1pm until the time of the service. A private burial will be held at Woodhill Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
