Dorothy Alice McQueen

Dorothy lived her life for Jesus. Her faith was not simply something she talked about—it was a part of who she was. One of her greatest joys was going to church and being surrounded by her church family and loved ones.

Dorothy especially loved hearing the children sing. Their voices brought her great joy, and she would often join in with them. Those who knew Dorothy will remember her for her sweet spirit, her love for the Lord, and the happiness she found in the simple blessings of life. She cherished the time she spent with her family and treasured the people God placed in her life.

Dorothy's life was a testimony to her love for Jesus. She looked forward to the day when she would see her Savior, and now that day has come. While her family will deeply miss her presence, her smile, her prayers, and the love she shared with them, they can find comfort knowing that Dorothy is now safely home with Jesus.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Elizabeth Neeley; her beloved husband, Ben McQueen; her infant son, Larry; her daughter, Karen; and her brothers, Omar and Jack Neeley.

She leaves behind a loving family who will carry her memory in their hearts. She is survived by her children: Alan (Terri) McQueen, Freda (Roy) Oscar, and Marcia (Tim) Wilson.

She is also survived by her brother, Orban (Dorothy) Neeley.

She was a loving grandmother to Jennifer, Jason, Brian, Marianne, Jessica, Alan Michael, Ashley, Stephanie, Whitney, and Jesse.

She was also blessed with many great-grandchildren: Ethan, Chandler, Dylan, Alex, Kassy, James, Cayden, Emily, Raelan, James, Lucas, Abigail, Evelyn, Amelia, Alexis, Haven, Isaac, and Olivia.

And her love and legacy continue through her great-great-grandchildren, Camden and Zane.

Dorothy's family and friends will forever cherish the memories they made with her. Her love, her faith, and the example she lived will continue through the generations she leaves behind.

Though our hearts are heavy with her passing, we rejoice with her because she is home. She has finished her earthly journey and is now in the presence of the One she loved and served.
