Dorothy Irene Reese

Dorothy Irene Reese, age 96, of Franklin, OH; died Monday December 28, 2020 at Arlington Point in Middletown. Dorothy was born in Trotwood, OH on April 3, 1924 to the late Ira and Emma (McKinley) Brooks. She attended First Church of Christ in Franklin and enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing and her cats. Her husband, James E. Reese; her sons, Daniel Edward Reese and Edward Wayne Reese, her grandson, Daniel Poteet; and her son-in-law, Robert L. “Kris” Collins, her brothers, Charles Brooks, Herschel Brooks, Harold Brooks; her sister, Helen Kimmel, preceded Dorothy in death. Dorothy is survived by her children, Marcus James Reese, Barry Lynn Reese (Jay Davidson), her daughter, Linda (Jerry) Poteet; her grandchildren, Melissa (Robert) Newbraugh, Brittany (Mark) Frederick, Jerry (Peggy) Poteet, James (Jenny) Reese, Jennifer (Jake) Limebaugh, Sonny and Kristen Reese; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral Services are 1pm Wednesday January 6, 2021 at Anderson Funeral Home 1357 E. 2nd St Franklin, OH with Chaplain Tommy James officiating. Burial will be in Springboro Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11am to 1pm at the funeral home.
