Douglas L Holderbaum, age 70, of Franklin, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at the Atrium Medical Center. Doug was born in Dayton, OH on March 10, 1953 to the late Darwin and Naomi (Dalton) Holderbaum.
Doug was a graduate of Springboro High School, was employed by the City of Blue Ash for 25 years, was a fire fighter for Harlan Township for 5 years, and was the Lunch Kid at the YMCA Camp Campbell Guard. Doug was a Boy Scout Leader and Commissioner and received the Silver Beaver Award which is the highest award for a volunteer.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Nancy (Knoch) Holderbaum; his son, Dave Holderbaum; his brothers, Darwin "Skip" Holderbaum, David Holderbaum and Dwain "Fuzz" Holderbaum.
A visitation for Doug will be held Monday, September 11, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Anderson Funeral Home, 40 N Main St, Springboro, OH 45066, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the YMCA Campbell Guard for the camper program.
