Edward Lanier

Edward Lee Lanier, age 74, of Carlisle, died Sunday, December 16, 2012, at the Franklin Ridge Nursing Home. He was born November 4, 1938 in Middletown, the son of Howard M. Lanier and Helen A. Lemmons Lanier. Mr. Lanier worked at DP&L, retiring as a supervisor. He is survived by his wife, Janet Haines Lanier; two daughters, Cindy Randy Holt of Grove City, Ohio, Sherry T.J. Tighe of Columbus, Ohio; one stepdaughter, Diane Larry Engle of Germantown, Ohio; four stepsons, Charles Penny Fields of Xenia, Paul Angie Fields of Xenia, Roger Lee Fields of Germantown, Richard Julia Fields of Franklin; grandchildren, Jason Crystal Jo Holt, Kristofer Holt, Matthew Tighe, Stacey Tighe, Casey Fields, Corey Fields, Jason Fields, Jamie Sue Jason Lorenz, Michael Engle, Levi Fields; great granddaughter, Pixie Jo Holt and eight additional great grandchildren; one sister, Becky Wieser of Middletown; one brother, Howard Jr. Linda Lanier of Carlisle; his cat, Sprinkles; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Charles; and two sisters, Mary Jane Hisey and Connie Ann Brown. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday at the Faith Baptist Church, 6355 Manchester Road, Franklin, with Reverend Benny Spencer officiating. Visitation will be from 4-9:00 PM, Thursday at the church. Burial will be at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Poasttown, Ohio. Arrangements are by the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home.
