Eldon Edward Reed

Eldon "Weedy" Reed, age 77, of Carlisle, Ohio, passed away on April 12th, 2026. He was born September 7, 1948 in Middletown, Ohio to Green Reed and RuthAnn Hillard. Weedy was a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved life, his family, his dogs and his work. He retired from Evans Excavating where he loved his job as a truck driver.

Weedy is survived by his wife of 24 years, Cheryl; siblings Steven, Bruce (Tammy), David (Thea), and Sharon (Steven); sons Tom and Bill (LeeAnn); stepsons Jeremy (Melissa) and Justin (Maggie); 7 grandchildren, a host of friends and his beloved dogs Merle, Pepper, and Elsie. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 infant sisters, brother Johnnie, and son Kenny.

Weedy's highest values were family and work. He loved watching football with his kids and grandkids. He was an excellent cook and enjoyed trying out new recipes with the family. He will be missed by all who loved him and we will treasure his memory.

Funeral services are at 2pm Friday, April 17, 2026 at Miamisburg Christian Church, 1146 East Central Ave, Miamisburg, Ohio, with Pastor Rich McKinley officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 1-2pm at the church.
