Eleanor Cochran

Eleanor Jean Kjelby Cochran, age 79, of Monroe, Ohio, died Monday, January 9, 2012 at her residence. She was born February 21, 1932 in Wayne County, Ohio the daughter of Walter Ogden and Ruth Hartman Ogden. She graduated from Akron City Hospital School of Nursing as an RN in 1953, and worked at Middletown Regional Hospital until her retirement. She married Stan Kjelby in 1953. She is survived by her husband, Bob; children, David Kjelby of Lexington, Kentucky, Karen Robert Schlanz of Cincinnati, Tom Kjelby of Ludlow, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Kelsey Kjelby, Diane Kjelby, Nick Schlanz, Kristen Kjelby, Mike Kjelby, David Schlanz; numerous nieces and nephews; one brother, Dwight Nancy Ogden; a sister-in-law, Georgianna Ogden. She was preceded in death by husband, Stan; her parents; a sister, Jane Wachtel and a brother, James Ogden. Funeral services will be 7:00 PM, Thursday at Mt. Pleasant Chapel with Rev. Olsen and Rev. Kjelby officiating. Visitation will be from 6-7:00 PM Thursday at the chapel. Burial will be Saturday at Wooster Cemetery, Wooster, Ohio. Funeral services are by Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home.
