Elmer Edwin Hurt, age 89, of Franklin, Ohio passed away Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Woodlands Nursing Center. He was born August 28, 1925 in Murphy Fork, Kentucky, the son of James and Nancy (Phillips) Hurt. Elmer was formerly employed as an Independent Concrete Contractor for 67 years. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Minnie, and 6 siblings. Elmer is survived by his son, Ken (Linda) Hurt; two daughters, Donna Patrick and Aimee (Bradley) Corwin; 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 3 brothers, Ed, John, and Fred Hurt; also a sister, Loretta Cable. Funeral service will be Tuesday, August 4, 2015, 10:00 am at Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 East Second Street, Franklin.
