

Elsie Marie Leverett Crayne, died Monday, March 25, 2013. She was born April 4, 1920 in East Prairie, Missouri to W.T. and Bertie Leverett. At the age of 18 months, her family moved to Denver, Colorado where she resided until 1996. She graduated from North Denver High School and then married Ray F. Crayne June 26, 1938. She was a homemaker and business woman employed by Public Service of Colorado. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband of 50 years and a brother, Howard Leverett Marie. She is survived by her two daughters, Raylene Pelfrey Don of Monroe, Ohio and Linda Lambrides George of Cumberland Center, Maine; special chosen daughter Clinta Dayton Stan Farber; grandchildren, David Pelfrey, Leah Pelfrey, Cinda Pelfrey, Noelle Harteveld Drew, John Douglas Deihl III Stephanie, Lindsay Walsh Dan, Tim Deihl Amy Butterworth, Dan Lambrides and Mark Lambrides; great grandchildren, Daniel Pelfrey, Catherine Pelfrey, Benjamim Harteveld, Charlotte Harteveld, Vigolia Walsh, Adelaide Deihl, and John Douglas Deihl IV; sisters, Edith Murphy of Denver and Darlene Kiernan of Blanco, Texas; brother, Willard Shirley Leverett of Fairview, Texas; and many nieces and nephews. She was a lifelong member of the Church of God Anderson, Indiana. She moved to Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village in 1996 where she remained until her death. Elsie loved music and enjoyed playing the violin. Her home was always open to young people of the church and many away from their own homes. She had a heart for ministry to the less fortunate and supported several philanthropic causes. The family wants to thank the nurses, aides, and staff of Mt. Pleasant and Hospice Senior Independence for their love and compassion towards our mother while in their care. A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 PM Friday at the Breiel Boulevard First Church of God with Reverend James McBride officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior to services on Friday. Interment will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Denver, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, we request a contribution to Mt.
