Elsie Mae Thomas

Elsie Mae Thomas, age 89, of Franklin passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024. She was born in Lee County, VA, the daughter of Shelby and Marsha (Owens) Carter, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by "the love of her life", William Thomas as well as, her step daughter, Mary Jean Triplett, her son, Paul F. Eagle, a brother, James and a sister, Helen.

Survivors include her children, William (Joyce) Thomas, Patricia (Allen) Boggs, Mike Thomas, Thomas (Fran) Thomas and Gwen (Rich) DeLay. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Elsie was loved by all and had the most loving, kind and gentle way that made her special to everyone, as well as her love for her family.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at the Anderson Funeral Home-Franklin Chapel, 1357 East Second Street with Pastor Laura Saunders officiating. Interment will follow in Woodhill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
