Ernest Edward Pickett

Ernest Edward Pickett, age 93 of Franklin, OH, passed away Friday, February 26, 2016. He was born February 17, 1923. Ernest fought in the Battle of the Bulge during WWII in the U.S. Army. He earned the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. He worked in the coal mines and sheet metal. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Laura Ann; father, Richard Pickett & mother, Sarah Pickett. Ernest is survived by his wife, Eunice Pickett; three daughters, Barbara (Jackie) Fugate, Sandra Lawson & Doris Pickett; son, Ernest Edward Pickett, Jr.; three sisters, Gerri Litton, Anna Faye Harvey & Edna (Lawrence) Cole; three granddaughters, Jackie Lee, Terri (Jeff) & Carisa (Jeff); one grandson, Bobby (Julie); 4 great grandchildren, Hope, Hailey, Sierra & Taz; numerous nieces, nephews & friends.

Funeral services are Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Anderson Funeral Homes, 40 North Main Street Springboro, OH with Pastor Gary Justice, officiating. Burial in Woodhill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 12:00 pm-1:00 pm at the funeral home.
