

Fayella Castle was born Fayella Miller, February 8, 1935 in Indianapolis, Indiana and passed away suddenly, June 30, 2023 at her home. Faye, as she was known to friends, was educated at Miami University reaching the level of a Masters equivalency in Special Education. She taught Special Education in the Carlisle School District for many years before retiring.
Fayella is survived by her husband of 65 years, Donald (Don) Ray Castle, Sr. of Franklin. Her son Donald (Donnie) Ray Castle, II. (wife JoFran) of Franklin and her son Terry (Doug) Douglas Castle (wife Robin) of Springboro. Grandchildren Mandy (Pete)Trenum of Madison Alabama, Tiffany (Mike) Trenum of Franklin, Shawn Hogsten of Franklin, Jantzen, Jamison, Jarin Castle of Hamilton and Alex Castle of Franklin. She is survived by 7 great- grandchildren. Also, surviving her are sisters, Betty, Barbara, Patty, Janie, Joy, brother, Ben and several nieces and nephews.
Faye was a member of Franklin Baptist Church dating back to 1969. She was a woman of prayer and if she said she was going to pray for you, you knew she most certainly would. She was a selfless woman, always putting others before herself. Her gentle spirit was exemplified in her life by her love of animals. Dogs, cats, birds, she loved them all.
Faye lived in many places and many states while growing up. Some would even refer to her jokingly as a gypsy; but in fact, she had a rich heritage traced back to Plymouth colony.
Fayella was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Miller, mother, Ruth Helen Miller and brother, Theodore (Ted) Miller.
Services will be held Friday, July 7, 2023 at Franklin Baptist Church, where family and friends will meet to share remembrances of Faye starting at 11:00 AM with the Funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM. Internment will follow at Woodhill Cemetery.
