Franklin Vance

Franklin D. Vance, age 78, of Middletown, died Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at the Hillspring of Springboro Health Care Center. He was born November 15, 1932 in Morgan County, Kentucky the son of Henry R. Vance and Nancy Ann Ratliff Vance. Franklin graduated from Wolfe County High School and Lee's Jr. College in Jackson, Kentucky. He taught school in Burkhart and Lee City Schools in Kentucky. He retired from Voith Paper, Middletown where he worked as a Production Coordinator.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Vona Vance and one sister, Henrietta Oditt. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Mattielene Vance; seven brothers, Grover, Dempsey, Elbert, Silas, Paul, Samuel, and Henry R. Vance. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time Friday at the funeral home.
