Fred served our country in the USMC from 1951 to 1961, was employed with Armco Steel with Project 650 from 1962 to 1968, was employed with DP&L from 1969 to 1974, and retired from TVA in 1988. After retirement he was a fulltime Mason and enjoyed fishing.
He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Summers. Fred is survived by his son, Bryan Summers; two grandchildren, Ira Summers, Kenneth Lee Summers; his five great grandchildren, Amelia Summers, Frederick Alexander Summers, Aiden Dixson, Branson Summers, Callie Summers; his five sisters, Harriett Bowling, Wanda Shirah, Betty Weber, Joyce Hyde and Linda Shockley.
A Masonic service for Frederick will be held Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 6:00 PM at Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 E. 2nd St., Franklin, Ohio 45005. A Graveside Service will be Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Woodhill Cemetery, Franklin, OH with military honors.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shriners' Hospital.
