Gary Dougherty

Gary Lee Dougherty, age 64, of Middletown, died Friday, December 30, 2011, at the University Hospital, Cincinnati. He was born September 26, 1947 in Middletown, the son of Glidia Dougherty and Carma Bowlin Dougherty. Gary worked at Aeronca for 35 years and AK Steel for nine years in supervision. He attended Jacksonburg United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Diana Dougherty; two daughters, Susan Jerry Frost, Tiffany Chris Johnson; three sons, Russell Dougherty, Jeff Kelley Dougherty, Kenny Debbie Donathan; numerous grandchildren; several great grandchildren; four sisters, Dora Ratliff, Yvonne Hendrisks, Lavern Long, Cathy Stamper; and five brothers, Lowell, David, Tom, Mike, and Darrell Dougherty. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Deanna Untch; his parents; one sister, Wilma Phillips; and four brothers, Winfred, Wendell, Wilburn, and Larry Dougherty. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with Reverend Wes Souders officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until service time Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Fairmound Cemetery, West Elkton.
