Gerald L. "Butch" Yates

Gerald L. "Butch" Yates, age 74, of Germantown, Ohio, died Thursday November 9, 2017 at Hospice of Butler-Warren Counties. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on May 24, 1943 to Raymond and Agnes (Richards) Yates. Gerald served in the US Army for 4 years. He was a member of the Franklin Church. He was a truck driver with several companies and retired from US Express in 2015 following 14 years of service. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Yates, mother, Agnes Yates Williams, brothers, Donald "Red" Yates and James "Jim" Yates. Gerald is survived by his wife of 32 years, Kathy (Raleigh) Yates; two sons, Brandon Yates, Brett (Emily) Yates; granddaughters, Scarlett and Riley; sister, Carolyn "Sue" Bruns; brother, William "Bill" Yates; two half sisters, Jackie Myers and Margie McNabb; and devoted pet Dexter. Funeral services are 11:00 am Wednesday November 15, 2017 at Anderson Funeral Homes 1357 East Second Street Franklin, Ohio with Pastor Mark Crider officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
