Hazel E. Dettre, age 88 formerly of Toboso Ohio passed away Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Hospice of Butler-Warren Counties. She was born October 16, 1927 in Newark, Ohio the daughter of Clarence and Helen (Myers) McAfee.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 70 years, Willis "Bill" Dettre.
Hazel is survived by her two daughters, Beth (Doug) Burkholder, Sharon (Edward) Chouinard; a son, Michael (Judy) Dettre, 6 grandchildren, Melissa (Mark) McCollum, Jennifer Chouinard, Nicole (Jacob) McGregor, Kelly (Troy) Lapine, Stephanie (Stretch) Gronlund, Vanessa (Jon) Burkholder-Wheeland, 14 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
Funeral service will be Friday, October 7, 2016 at 6:00 pm at Anderson Funeral Homes 1357 East Second Street, Franklin. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm on Friday until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be Saturday, 1:00 pm in Hanover Cemetery.
