What a special mom God gave you in Hilda. As a student it was a comfort just to be comforted by her smile. She was quite the lady and a blessing to all who passed her way. Prayers to you and your family.

Dear Sheri & Debbie,

Your mom began her career at Clearcreek Local shortly after academic chaos broke out in schools all across America. In October, 1957, the Russians had quietly launched Sputnik 1, catching the world by surprise! An intensive examination of our public education system took place, especially in the areas of math and science. The race to improve academic standards took place overnight, at warp speed!

Ray Perez was no stranger to challenge, and this matter was no exception. He acted swiftly and decisively to raise the the bar of academic standards at Clearcreek Local. 

As I recall, he was somewhat of a polarizing figure. That is, you either liked, respected and admired him for his integrity and efforts, or you didn't There seemed to be very little middle ground.

In that regard, your mother was so much more than a secretary to Ray Perez. That may have been her title, but in reality, she quickly became his executive assistant and principal advocate. In her quiet and unassuming way, she deflected the criticisms of her boss with a warm smile and kind words.She helped the community understand and embrace Ray's goal to provide the young people of Springboro with a first class education. 

In my career, I have had the opportunity to work with many professionals. Your mother was one of the finest, most professional women I have ever known. She executed her responsibilities with great poise, grace and dignity. At the same time, her loving smile and acute listening skills not only made her approachable, it made her an excellent communicator as well!

In my senior year, I worked in the media room (you know, where the high tech duplicator and mimeograph machines were housed) two doors down from Hilda's office. I remember that the start of good day always began with a warm "good morning" and a loving smile from Hilda. It is a small detail, but one I will always treasure. 

Mrs. Hosket, thank you for being an important part of my life, you did make a difference! This day and always, may you rejoice in the comfort of God's embracing arms, and may His ever abiding love surround you and give you peace eternally.

May that same love refresh you as you carry the burden of your grief. Know simply that many others are present in your lives and they too share your the pain of your loss.

A true lady whom everyone who walked the hollowed halls of Springboro High during the time Hilda was working there will always remember her smiling face and gentle words..I personally knew Hilda in many aspects of my life.and left a lasting impression with me..thanks Sheri and Debi for sharing such a special lady with all of us..

My thoughts and prayers to you and your family as your mom makes her celestial transfer. She was a remarkable woman and I hope you and your family kind find peace by remembering all the wonderful treasures that she and your dad transferred to you and your family.

The wonderful times we had at the farm. Fireworks over the pond, fishing with Grampi Hosket, Christmas parties, driving the Renault tractors around the fields, riding the donkeys, watching Uncle Jim building huge houseboats from hand drawn plans he had created, cutting the old farmhouse in half to build the new house one half at a time. Aunt Hilda always warm and smiling and, I expect, tolerating Uncle Jim's projects. I was so blessed having such a loving family and having my Aunt Hilda and you as my cousins. May God bless Aunt Hilda and you both.

Our sympathy to you and your families in your loss. Hilda holds a special place in our memories. She was one of the first people to welcome us to Springboro and the Springboro School family when we moved there in 1968. We remember her warm smile and gracious, sweet personality. May you find comfort in knowing others loved and appreciated her as we do.

Sheri, Debbie and families - I have such special memories of Aunt Hilda and Uncle Jim, most of which were related to annual picnics at your home. Those wonderful summer family reunions with the pool and all that Kinman food - - fried chicken, strawberry salad, 5 cup salad and of course, Evelyn Rae's oatmeal cake. Lots of special memories with all of you! My thoughts and prayers are with you.
