James Wayne Barber

James Wayne Barber, age 71, of Springboro, Ohio passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at the Dayton VA Hospice. James was born November 8, 1950 in Middletown, OH to the late James E. and Martha (Singleton) Barber. James was a veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the American Legion Post 888, was employed by Cincinnati Milacron for 5 years and also AK Steel for 15 years. He loved spending time with his granddaughters playing checkers and cracking walnuts.He enjoyed mowing the lawn, fishing, hunting, Corvettes and Harley Davidson Motorcycles. James is survived by his wife of 49 years, Kathy (Howard) Barber; his children, James Nathaniel Barber, Samantha (Barber) Hall and her husband, Bryan; his grandchildren, Malia Hall, Alayna Hall; his sisters, Wanda Barber (Jim) Kurtz, Wilma Barber (Bob) Bowling and Wyonna Barber (Tony) Bors. Funeral Services will be 12:30pm Thursday May 12, 2022 at the Anderson Funeral Home 1357 E 2nd St Franklin, OH with Pastor Tracy Stevens and Pastor Mike Cornett officiating. Burial will be in Heritage Hills Memorial Park with full military honors. Visitation will be Thursday from 11am to 12:30pm.
