James R. Burgess, age 77, of Franklin, Ohio, died Wednesday October 26, 2016 at Hillspring Health Care Center. He was born in Ironton, Ohio on October 21, 1939 to Carl and Eloise (Baldwin) Burgess. He was a member of Insulators Local #79 for 30 years and retired in 1988. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Burgess, mother, Clara Eloise Burgess. James is survived by wife of 59 years, Carleen (Hammer) Burgess daughter, Kay (Ron) Hatfield; two sons, Robert (Karen) Burgess, Jerry (Jeni) Burgess; three grandsons, Ryan Burgess, Bobby Burgess, Jeffrey Kramer; three granddaughters, Aleah Arnold, Meghan Haddix, Marianne Burgess; great grandson, Dean Burgess; great granddaughter, Brooke Burgess; sister, Rose (Dick) England; three brothers-in-law, Norman Hammer, Nathan Hammer, and James Hammer.
