

James M. "Chick" Chamberlain, age 82, of Franklin, OH; passed away suddenly on Monday March 21, at the Atrium Medical Center. Jim was born in Middletown, OH on January 4, 1929 to Enoch and Minnie Mary (Hall) Chamberlain. He was an avid Franklin Wildcat sports fan and member of the Franklin Athletic Foundation. He retired from General Motors in 1984. He loved running races with his daughter Carol and completed his first ½ marathon at the age of 81. Jim loved to fish with his dog P.J., tend to his beehives and spend time in his woodshop. But most of all he loved his family and attending family parties. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Phyllis Jean (Davies) Chamberlain; 4 brothers Paul, Bob, Gene, and Dick and a sister Nancy. Jim is survived by 5 children Carol (Chuck) Cole, William (Sandie Oaks) Chamberlain, Kathy (David) Burnett, Amy (Paul) Handermann, and Jim (Tammy) Chamberlain; 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; and many step grandchildren; brothers Don (Tine) Chamberlain, Jack (Lois) Chamberlain, sisters Alice Minnick and Dorothy (Asa) Humston; 2 sisters-in-law Ruth Ann Shaffer and Gladys Chamberlain; and special friend Betty Kehrle. Funeral services are Friday March 25, 2011 at 10am at Anderson Funeral Home 40 N. Main St. Springboro, OH with Rev. Chuck Wolfinbarger officiating. Burial will be in Springboro Cemetery.
