Jim and Family, my deepest condolences. Jan was such a wonderful person and such a perfect wife for you, Jim. And also an excellent mother. I still use some of her recipes from when we used to all get together at GMAC. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Jan was a lovely person. We met through the Buckeye Blossoms Quilt Guild in Middletown and shared a passion for quilting. I was privileged to know Jan, and she will be deeply missed. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

To Jan's Family: I miss Jan so much too! And I know my missing and heartache, can not even being to add up to what you are feeling! My prayers are with all of you as time will heal us all.
My memories of Jan is us Sewing/Quilting together. We were in several groups together. I tell the girls, we are quilting sisters! Sharing new and old ideas. She would talk about her family, and me being a cat person, I still remember the cat babysitting story the most. :-) 
Jan I know you will be watching over us girls, and you will touch our hands, and guide us as we finish our sewing and quilting projects. We will know you are with us in spirit!

Jim & family, My deepest sympathy. Jan, was always a special person and a very special cousin. She will be missed.

Dearest Jim and Family:

I am shocked and heartbroken. I just received your message. Oh my God. I know that Jan is heaven, as she is a true angel. She always was an earth angel to me. Her light shines on in my heart. I know Jan was called home, at too early a time. I know she is looking down on us all, while busily planting flowers, gardening, making heavenly quilts, baking those award winning raspberry pies and other treats. I thank God for all of the wonderful memories, laughter. food & fun Jan and You and I had as neighbors in Algonquin. Who would have known that when we met in Algonquin, at our closing with Dottie, that we would become forever friends and next door neighbors? I thank God for the treasured friendship of Jan and You. May God and all of his angels watch over you and your family. With much love and many blessings.

Jan and I first met at Northwest Suburban Quilters Guild when we both lived in Illinois. We stayed friends after moving to different states and had fun times meeting in Las Vegas with husbands along. Jan was a true and kind friend and will be deeply missed. Sorry for your loss, Jim.

There is so much I want to tell you that is good about Jan. I cannot write letters small enough to fit in the space allotted in this memory. So, I'll keep it brief.
Jan wished to lift us up so we were larger than we actually are.
Above all else, she put her family first. Always!
She remembered to send cards to family, grandchildren, relatives and friends, for all the occasions. She thought I picked out good cards, so she had me do that, but she addressed them, wrote a note, always, and sent them out. She was so thoughtful.
Next came her friends, who were family to her also. And they got the same treatment as her close family.. She had great friends from London, England, to California. We were so blessed to have all you as our friends.
And lastly was herself. Only after she had helped, guided, and gave great advice, to all of the above, would she do for herself. So unselfish, and caring.
She loved her grandchildren more than you will ever know. Andrew, Kristin, Tyler and Caitlin. You were always in our conversations and always in her loving and caring thoughts.
She loved creating beautiful quilts, and her passion was clear when she gave each one away. She made so many beautiful quilts. She loved going to all the quilt club meetings, and sharing with all of her friends. She loved a very special quilting buddy, Mary. Thanks Mary, for all of your help to Jan.
She loved to bake and cook, and her passion was clear when she enjoyed your expression of warmth in sharing.
She loved to read, and her passion was clear when she shared the story with you. She loved her neighborhood book club, and all the members. Thanks Kim for your support.
She is loved by so many of you here and not here.
Jan will forever be missed, and always remembered.

Such wonderful and beautiful memories for the past 52 years, and then some. We will all miss you tremendously, and forever.

Jim and family - I've known Jan for over 30 years. We were together in Welcome Wagon and now since you moved back Dayton, we have lunched together for several years. She will be so missed by many. You have my deepest sympathy for your loss. She was an awesome woman and friend and a loyal Green Bay Packer fan with me!

We look forward tot he time we will be united with our loved ones again. The Bible tell us at John 5:28-29, that this could be possible. It read as following: (John 5:28, 29) (28) Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice (29) and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.

Jim, what can we say; we were so sad to hear of Jan's passing. We only met you both for a short and memorable time in Gatlinburg but have spoken of you both over the years many times and remembered the bear!
Our deepest sympathy to you and your family, our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time.

Jim, I'm extremely sorry to hear of Jan's passing. I know you will miss her very much.

Memories of Jan, a bunch. She was the first friend I had when I moved to IL and the friendship continued after we both moved to other states. She sat with me in the hospital while my husband was dying. What would I have done without her since my family wasn't around. She fixed food for me, called me when I was grieving, all the things a good friend would do. She was the best....I will miss her and the phone calls. May you rest in peace Jan.

Dear Jim and all: Please accept our sincere sympathy over your great loss. Jan was the one to always keep us posted on each other families. Always there with a smile and genuinely interested in each person. Dad would always call her the BLONDE BOMBER...he really liked her and he was tough to please!!! We all have lost a great treasure, but especially her family...She loved you all so much!! God bless you all during this difficult time.

It is hard to pick a favorite memory to share. Jan & I laughed together, cried together, complained together, celebrated together, sewed together, quilted together, tried new eateries together, went on road trips together. We had some unfinished plans we didn't get to complete. We checked in with each other almost every day. In short, we were buddies. She was my best friend and I miss her. To her family, my heart aches for your loss. I hope you know how much she loved all of you. I got to hear it all the time. May God help you through this time.
