One year has gone by and it doesn’t get any easier. There isn’t a day that goes by my heart doesn’t ache for you Mom. Love you more than words can say. We miss you so very much.

I just heard of Jennifer's passing and am deeply saddened.  I had many a times when I worked with her at Kettering.  She was tough and kind at the same time.  Wonderful soul for sure. My fondest childhood memories always include you in the picture.  I always admired you and wanted to be more like you.  You were a strong, determined, popular and funny kid who grew up to be a great nurse, a matriarch of your family, and a woman of deep faith.  One of the things I love most about you is you always made me feel good no matter how bad things seemed -- something that got me through some tough times throughout the years.  I only hope I was able to give you just a little bit of that back when we had our visits recently.  I know you still managed to always make me laugh.  I will cherish each and every moment we spent together, and I will never stop striving to be more like my little cuz.

So many fond memories of working with Jennifer in SICU.  Always knew that in the everyday routine as well as in crisis that she would be there, ready to help and give support.  Her knowledge base and skill set were second to none and she always had the answers.  Peace to you all and take comfort in the knowledge that she is free of the pains and discomforts of this physical life and in the eternal presence of God the father.

I have so many awesome memories with my Aunt Jenny. She was such a sweet woman.  What I will remember the most is all the times she made me laugh as a kid she was always so funny.  She was such a sweet woman you will always be loved and always missed Aunt Jenny.

Jennifer was my nurse manager at Kettering after I graduated from nursing school. She was a tremendous nurse and an excellent role model. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Aunt Jenny was my one and only aunt. She always made me feel so loved every time I saw her. I remember feeling that way even when I was a little girl and we would go see her in the hospital. Even though she was feeling awful with her health, I remember her saying, "Come here honey and give Aunt Jenny a hug." That was the special thing about her- she was still able to think of others despite everything she was going through. She was so strong. This past year, she sent me a text message that was so special, and it came right at a time when I was feeling discouraged. Part of it said, "God will allow us to go through storms and when we get to the end of the storm, God has pruned us to be stronger in our faith. I have had so many tough times with my illness and just when I feel like God is not with me, I realize He is beside me holding my hand. If you ever need someone to talk to , I am here for you. Let God lead your way and you will be so blessed in so many ways. I love you and my thoughts will be with you." How did she know I needed those words right then? I believe it was because she walked closely with God. She had an intimate relationship with him that gave her so much strength. That text message describes so perfectly who she was. Aunt Jenny, I love you. I have cried so many tears for you. Thank you for loving me. Thank you for the example you set of finding your strength in the Lord.

I have so many good memories of working with Jennifer. She was my first charge nurse when I started my career. I enjoyed making her laugh throughout the day. She was so knowledgeable and a great advocate for our patients. I learned so much from her over our years together in SICU. Over the past 30 years or so, I’ve always looked forward to the times when I knew we were getting together with Kenny and Jenny.  Very few things were that fun.  From the card games that went on for hours so Kenny and I could let Pam & Jenny win (they knew better) to Jenny poking fun at Ken and I while we tried to win anyway.  We had so much fun.  I'll miss the challenge of making Jenny laugh with my silly comments even when she said she would not laugh no matter what (I usually won that one).  I'll miss her contagious laugh that started as a deep chuckle and ended with a roaring cackle.  Somedays, we laughed so hard we couldn't even breathe. And mixed in with all the fun and games was Jenny’s no nonsense advice and her way of dealing with life head on.  She had the ability to speak the truth in such a firm, yet caring way that you just knew that what she said was correct.  I’m not sure if she knew I was listening sometimes or what I learned from her. But I did. 

What I will not miss is seeing her suffer over these past years. As hard as it is to say goodbye, I am comforted knowing that she has no pain and all is new and perfect for her now. Praise the Lord.

We'll be neighbors again someday Jenny, see you then.

I really don't know where to begin. I am so lost without you. I could not have asked for a better mother. You ALWAYS put your family first no matter what. You would always tell me how proud u were of me and how much u loved me. Those words and the actions u showed to me throughout my life will be with me for ever. U always showed me how important it was to keep God first in my life and to raise my family in a Christian home. I loved our many visits where I would just bring the kids by to visit for a short time to lift your spirits. I saw the joy it brought to u. Those times will be with me forever. I promise I will always remind Landon and Lyla about the incredible person you were and how much u loved them. I know how incredibly much u loved Yen and how proud u were that she was my soul mate. It was so evident how much joy she brought to u. Your spirit and guidance will be with me for the rest of my life and I know that one day I will see u again. I will look for you when I get there. I love you so incredibly much.

Mom, you were not just my mother in law. You were my mom. There were so many times spent with you that I will forever cherish within my heart and will never forget. You were someone that I could call and ask for advice or call to talk to you to calm my nerves when I feel anxious about my exam. I will never forget the things you and I talk about and the lessons I learned from you. The times you taught me how to cook you were so patient with me. I'm sure you were rolling your eyes at the mess I am making but you took the time to help me anyways. Mom you were such a smart and wonderful woman, inside and out. Listening to you talk about your illness and how much pain you are in made me feel helpless but mom you are not in pain anymore. You are not sick any more. I take comfort in the fact that you are with the Lord now and I will see you once again someday. I will tell you that I perfected that chocolate cake recipe and you would be proud of me. I love you so much mom. Ill see you again.

We are so very sorry for Your loss.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Jennifer has been my Sister in law for a very long time now.  Lately, I was thinking about her life and feeling so badly that she had to suffer so much, endure pain, and never "feeling good."  I treasure the times I spent with her, just a little talk, taking a meal/or soup over, a phone call to get medical advice, and just recently listening to one of her favorite songs. She was so excited for me to listen. I loved all the laughs with her and her Mom when we all used to get together to play cards.  Not too long ago, she sent a meal to my house because she thought I was tired after working all night. That meant so much.  The time she said she wanted to, "do something" for Rebekah's wedding," just anything," she said.  So I gave her 150 chocolate covered Oreo's to put personalized stickers on for the reception. She was so happy to be able to contribute in some way.  That was just precious and saved me so much time.  I especially loved how she loved God's word, and songs that would comfort her. She drew strength from their timeless promises. Just a few days ago, I turned 60 years old, and she sent along a card with such a sweet message I will treasure forever. Today, I am so sad and will miss her greatly. I know heaven is sweeter because she is there.:hearts:

We moved into our first house 34 years ago and there we met our neighbors and soon to be best friends for life . We raised some fantastic kids together , vacationed , cooked, laughed.... I mean we laughed ..,.you name it we did it together . I can  still hear you and Joy laughing so hard while playing Rook with the hubbies.  Trying to cheat a little and we usually didn't get caught ...usually . :))

Eating a mess of corn on the cob on a summer day . Helping you build your new house with 4 kiddies running around . What memories . We were there for each other no matter what .

Your strength through your illness has been amazing . I was blessed to hold you sit with you ....whatever it took through some dark times . I can't bare a day without you and still can't believe this is happening . But I take comfort that you are home with the Lord ... no more suffering , no more meds , just peace . A few weeks ago you took the time and made my mother in law and myself chicken soup with homemade noodles  when we both werent feeling well and neither were you . But you pushed yourself. That was so kind of you and Ken for bringing it over to me . Real friendship. I am forever blessed to have had you in my life . Pam

My Princess,  Words cannot express my love for you over the past 36 years.  We've had so many memories that we've shared during those years.  Just being with you has made me cherish our life together more and more as the years passed by.  You are the strongest person I know by how you fought your illnesses so hard and tried to make something good out of those horrible and painful days.  You are the smartest nurse I know as well cause you could always find a remedy to cure the ailment and make others feel better.  Most importantly you desired for the light of Christ to shine through your life and work while caring for others.  Your prayers and compassion for others were a true testimony to this.  
Jenny, I can't imagine my life without you.  You have been my everything these past few years.  We have laughed some times and shed a many of a tear.  Some times just holding you made the difference you said.   Oh how I wish I could hold you again and make it all better.  We have weathered so many storms in your health together and each  time you battled back with every ounce of strength in you.  I am so sad, but much greater than that, you don't have to fight it any more.  May God grant you peace now that the struggles are over.  Praise the Lord with all you have and save that spot next to you, I'll see you there some day my love.

I will remember my friendship  with Jennifer with great fondness as she was always friendly, respectful and honest with me.

I will miss our massage sessions the most because that is when I learned the most about this very special person.

Her suffering and pain here on earth was tough ( to say the least ) but I find comfort in knowing she is at peace, comfortable and free in heaven.

Jennifer will be missed.  She was one of the best nurses that I have ever known.  She influenced a lot of lives.  My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. She was always talking about her husband, mom and her kids and grandkids. She loved them with all of her heart.  May her family find comfort in knowing that she is at peace.
