John Edward Franklin

John Edward Franklin, age 66 of Trenton, Ohio passed away Tuesday morning, April 17, 2018 at his residence. He was born August 5, 1951 in Dayton, Ohio the son of Melvin C. and Jerry (Sutton) Franklin. John was a graduate of Middletown High School and attended MIT in Boston. He was a sports enthusiast and loved soccer and hockey. John retired in 2006 from AK Steel where he served as Union President. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Sarah Franklin; Sarah’s mother, Maria S. Kavouras; his sister, Kitty (husband, Kevin) Kelly and their children; and his brother, Gregg Franklin. He was preceded in death by his parents and his other brother, David.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday April 22, 2018 at the Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm Sunday until service time at the funeral home.
