John Joseph Haney, age 73, Middletown, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at his residence. John was born in Middletown, Ohio on May 2, 1943 to Edward Thomas Haney and Olive Mary (Reese) Haney. John worked at AK Steel for 43 years. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. John was a member of Holy Family Parish, St. John's Chapel.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Eileen Mann; and a brother, Tom Haney. John is survived by his wife of 47 years, Penny (Smith) Haney; daughter, DeLinda Haney; and nieces and a nephew.
Funeral services are 10:00 am Saturday, at Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home with Deacon Rich Hobbs as celebrant. Burial will be at Butler County Memorial Park with military honors by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard. Visitation will be held on Friday from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at the funeral home.
