John Wayne Williams, age 83, of Estero, FL; died Monday 24, 2026 at the Eagle Ridge Rehab Center in Estero, FL. John was born in Hancock County, TN on April 3, 1943 to the late Hagen and Annie (Manning) Williams.
John married Dorothy Ayers on September 21, 1963 and moved to Ohio in 1965. He worked for many years with Jefferson Smurfit until his retirement in 2002. Dorothy passed away on January 23, 2003. John married Wilma Riley Turner on JUne 26, 2004. They lived part time in Florida from 2010 until 2018 when they permanently moved there. He attended Riverview Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He collected knives, liked to travel and fish. He loved playing Bocce and golf.
John was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Williams; his two brothers, Obie Williams, Ted Williams and his sister, Imogene Montgomery. He is survived by his wife, Wilma Williams; his two sons, Andrew (Pam) Williams, John Edward (Mindy) Williams, his stepson William (Amber) Riley; his five grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday September 3, 2026 at Anderson Funeral Home 1357 E 2nd St Franklin, OH from 11am to 1pm. The Funeral Service will follow at 1pm with Pastor Brad Cunningham officiating. Burial will be in Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
