Lit a candle in memory of Joseph William Linebaugh

You gave me the best of you and for that I will forever be grateful.  His love of the outdoors, hunting, fishing, dogs, trucks - all you.  I pray you are no longer in pain and can rest easy.  Please watch over our son and protect him always -

I’ve worked and played with joe for 22 years , he was a true power house. When I think of joe at work the song the legend of John Henry comes to mind. One of my early memories we were at Samuel Adams brewery and I was struggling to take a empty bottle of argon down 3 flights of stairs one step at a time, and he comes joe up those 3 flights of stairs with a full one on his shoulder I was beside myself in amazement then we went on to work in what I would consider the raths of hell were birds just fell out of the sky and they gave you wooden shoes because the souls of your boots were burning. Joe would pick up a 200 pound value over head and scream put a bolt in it. I’ve drank a liter and a half of gin and said let’s wrestle joe, I wouldn’t recommend that it results in a couple busted ribs lol , the next day when we woke up I said dang joe I was thinking traditional wrestling not wwe lol. I’ve watched joe in my backyard I 15’ round by 3’ of water pool tossing kids around like rag dolls he’d get out for a bit and the kids would scream for more till he came flying over the side back in for more he truly was a amazing man just like John Henry out working ,powering and running the steam hammer till he no longer could I’m forever greatful to have spent half my life knowing him so long my friend.

Will always miss ya old friend your heart and strength has made our country and life’s a better place

Thank you for giving Chelsea and I some of our funnest childhood memories. Swimming at Franklin pool, ceasers creek, being our own personal jungle gym, letting me tag along for rabbit hunts with bub and, more importantly, being the best patient while we covered you from head to toe in cute little dolphin band-aids. We will always remember you and the times we shared. :heart:

I said essentially the same thing to jake that aunt Kathy posted. Joe really did have a good heart. He came out to Katys and a visited with us a couple years ago, and was there for her when she was stranded with car trouble. I'm so sorry you have to go through this.

Deepest condolences for Hunter and all of Joe’s family, we pray your grief eases and your good memories prevail. I remember when my daughter was a baby she would always try to “pick up” the tattoos off Joe’s arms. Joe got my husband into coon hunting and served as a pallbearer at my dad’s funeral, he had a good heart and will be truly missed.

I have no doubt you are devastated. I remember him from FHS so fondly. I am truly saddened by your loss.
