Joe was a good man and he and Betty have been our friends for over 60 years. He always had a good sense of humor and he played double pinochle to win. We have many good memories of time spent with Betty and Joe. Rest in peace in heaven. We will meet again Joe.

The Orner boys, Joseph myself and Stan, lost our father as young boys. We were placed in an orphanage, the Hershey Industrial School for Boys. In place of our father, Stan and I looked up to Joe for leadership. It was that feeling of strength, respect and security, which. I remember was the glue that held us together, during some pretty tough times. Thank you God, Thank you Joe.

Joe and Betty have been our friends since we first moved to the Dayton area many years ago. Ollie and I will always remember the pinochle games we played with them many an evening. Joe's humor kept us laughing! The friendship has survived multiple moves by us and over many miles. We will always think of Joe as we reminisce about events in our lives that we shared, especially Christmas Eves! May you rest in peace, Joe, and be the angel watching over your family.

Joe was a volunteer for the AARP Tax-Aide program for several years.
He not only was a friend to all volunteers.
He was dependable.
Easy to like, with a good sense of humor.
He was a quality person and will be missed by his co-volunteers.
Condolences to the family.

I will always remember Uncle Joe's deep, booming voice. I loved to listen to him talk because I loved his voice so much. I want to send my love to my Aunt Betty, my cousins Joe and April, and their families. You all have an angel in heaven to guide you and keep you safe now. Many hugs and prayers to all of you.
