Justin Patrick Tankersley

Justin Patrick Tankersley, lovingly known as "Tank", age 27, of Franklin, Ohio passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Kettering Medical Center. He was born July 12, 1988 in Middletown, Ohio, the son of Lynn and Barbara (Morris) Tankersley. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Jr. Morris and paternal grandparents, Clyde L. and Lois Tankersley. Justin is survived by his father, Lynn Tankersley (Prema Irelan) and mother, Barbara Tankersley; his sister, Brittany Tankersley (Shaun Vincent); grandmother, Zella Morris; special nephew, Jaxx; uncles, Bob (Patti) Morris, Scott (Kimmie) Morris; aunts, Lanette (Russ) Stevens, Karen (Glen) Chambers, Ruth Ann Hausman, Linda (Jim) Reese; numerous cousins; childhood best friend, Travis Banks; many beloved friends and firefighter brothers; and beloved canine companion, Bailey. One of Justin's biggest joys in life was making people laugh. He had a heart of gold and would help any person or animal in need. Justin was employed as a heavy equipment operator with IUOE Local 18 and had truly found his passion. He was also a volunteer for Franklin Twp. Fire Department and formerly volunteered for Carlisle Fire Department. In his free time, he loved playing his guitar and hanging with his friends. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Anderson Funeral Homes, 1357 East Second Street, Franklin, Ohio. Funeral service will be Friday, January 22, 2016 at 11:00 am, also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Springboro Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Franklin Twp. Fire Department or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in Justin's memory.
