Kathy Diane Hudson-Back

Kathy Diane Hudson-Back, age 76, of Carlisle, OH; died Monday February 2, 2026 at the Embassy of Lebanon. Kathy was born in Middletown, OH on May 7, 1949 to the late Willard and Juanita (Amburgey) Abney.

Kathy was a graduate of Carlisle High School, class of 1967, a member of Baptist Tabernacle, and a Beautician for over 50 years, retiring in 2022.

In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Back. She is survived by her children, Zachary Hudson, Jesse (Jessica) Hudson, Casey (Skye) Hudson; her stepchildren, Josh Back, Joyce Halsey; her grandchildren, Coleman Hudson, Avery Hudson, Ryan Hudson, Grayson Hudson, Austin Ripley, Alyssa Ripley, Ava Jackson, Abbie Back, Micaiah Back, and Noah Back; her brother, Randy (Brenda) Abney; her sister, Becky (David) Terry.

Kathy’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted mother who poured her whole heart into her children, guiding them with unwavering love and quiet strength. Nothing lit her up more than her grandchildren—each one a source of pride, laughter, and boundless affection. Her fiery passion for them was unmistakable, and she cherished every moment spent watching them grow.

A Memorial Service will be 3pm Friday, February 13, 2026 at Baptist Tabernacle 7816 DuBois Rd Carlisle, OH with Pastor Mike Gray officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 2pm to 3pm.
