Keith Andrew Hollingsworth

Keith Andrew Hollingsworth, age 48, of Franklin, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home on June 3, 2026. He was a cherished son, grandson, nephew, “uncle”, cousin, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed.

Born on September 16, 1977, at Whiteman Air Force Base in Knob Noster, Missouri, Keith was the son of Kimberly Retherford Dowrey and the late Scott Andrew Hollingsworth. He was a 1996 graduate of Franklin High School, where he was a dedicated four-year member of the Wildcats football team (wearing #63) and a recipient of the Historical Society award. He continued his education at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, earning a bachelor’s degree in education in 2000.

Keith began his career teaching history and coaching football at Monroe High School. Following various roles, including time at Anderson Funeral Home in Franklin, he spent the last 14 years of his career at White Allen Chevrolet in Dayton. There, he served as a sales consultant, assistant new vehicle sales manager, and service department manager, and was honored with the salesperson of the year award several times.

An enthusiast of life’s many experiences, Keith was passionate about football, specifically cheering for the Franklin Wildcats and the Cincinnati Bengals, and following the career of Lakers player and fellow Franklin graduate Luke Kennard. He was an extensive traveler, exploring the United States from Alaska to Connecticut and venturing internationally to locations including Copenhagen, Estonia, St. Petersburg, Finland, and Sweden. A notable highlight of his life was the opportunity to drive a Camaro on the Indianapolis Speedway. He was an avid fan of “Christmas Vacation” and could quote the entire movie, which he often did. Though he was a "meat and potatoes kind of guy," he also enjoyed clams on the half shell, pizza, and cold beer.

Keith is survived by his mother, Kimberly Retherford Dowrey; step-father, Tom Dowrey; and step-brother, Steve Dowrey; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, “nieces”, “nephews”, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Scott Hollingsworth; his grandparents, Neal and Linda Retherford and Jim and Marcie Hollingsworth; and several aunts and uncles.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Parish, located at 9579 Yankee Road, Springboro, Ohio 45066. Visitation will take place at the church at 10:30 a.m. prior to the Mass.
