Kenneth E Lipps

Kenneth "Kenny" Lipps, 92, of Miamisburg, Ohio, passed away on August 06, 2026, surrounded by the family he loved so dearly. Family was the center of Kenny's world. Days before his passing, he and his beloved wife, Patricia, celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary on July 28, marking a lifetime spent side by side.

Together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and traditions that continue today. The home where they raised their only child, Scott, remains the gathering place for family holidays, celebrations, and Sunday dinners, bringing generations together just as it always has.

Kenny is survived by Pat; his son, Scott Lipps (Sarah LaTourette); granddaughters Jessica (Ryan) Conde and Stacey (Matt) Bowermaster; great-grandchildren Ariana, Tristan, and Madelyn; and a soon-to-arrive great-granddaughter, Molly. Ams family friend, Debbie (Price) Lipps. He is also survived by his sister, Sondra Lipps Adams; his brother, Woody Lipps; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends whom he loved dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Woods Lipps and Virginia Widdefield Lipps; his brothers, Glenn Lipps and Paul Lipps; and his sisters, Ruby Lipps Shaner, Ester Lipps Ball, and Connie Lipps Miller.

Scott was Kenny's only child, and the bond they shared was one of the greatest joys of his life. Kenny loved his son deeply and took immense pride in the man he became. Scott often described his father as one of the strongest men he had ever known and credits him with teaching him the values of hard work, loyalty, and family.

Kenny was equally proud of his grandchildren and especially loved being “Papa Kenny” to his great-grandchildren. Nothing made him happier than time spent with family. His great-grandchildren brought him endless joy, and he cherished every opportunity to play with them, laugh with them, and watch them grow.

Kenny proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed the outdoors throughout his life. Many treasured memories were made at his cabin in southeastern Ohio, where he spent years hunting, fishing, and sharing time with good friends. A lifelong sports fan, he spent many years coaching Little League and rooting for his beloved Buckeyes. Go Woody!

Few things brought Kenny more pride than his lifelong involvement in Freemasonry and the Shrine. He was a member of Minerva Lodge No. 98 in Miamisburg for more than 60 years and a proud member of Antioch Shrine in Dayton for over 50 years, including 45 years playing percussion with the Antioch Shrine Brass Band. The friendships, fellowship, and opportunities for service he found through these organizations were an important part of his life. One of his greatest sources of pride was seeing Scott follow in his footsteps as an active Mason and Shriner.

Those who knew Kenny knew he was strong, hardworking, and never afraid to speak his mind. Those who loved him knew a devoted husband, proud father, loving grandfather and great-grandfather, and a man whose actions always showed what mattered most.

Kenny's legacy lives on in the family he cherished, the traditions created, and the countless lives he touched through friendship, service, and love. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Kenny's family will receive friends at Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 East 2nd Street, Franklin, Tuesday, August 11, 2026 starting at 10:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 pm. Kenny will be laid to rest in Woodhill Cemetery, Franklin.
