Laura Sue Lane

Laura Sue Lane, 88 of Carlisle, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 4th. Laura was born July 12,1937 in Pennington Gap, VA to the late Wilbur and Loda (nee Hughes) Martin. Preceding her in death are her beloved husband of 72 years, Noah Lane in May of 2025, her siblings Ana Mae “Jo”, Marcella, Johnny “Bud”, Kay, Wanda and Danny.

Laura leaves to cherish her memory, her son Noah Aundre Lane, daughters Mary Maranda Lane, Lesha Suzette (Mike) Lind. Also surviving are her grandchildren Kelsey Lane, Ben Maderic, Mark Maderic, Susan (Larry) Loper, Wilson (Amanda) Lane, Sara (Nathan) Gargas, Noah Ryan (Diana) Burnett, Jeremy McCloskey; great-grandchildren Tait, J’Ana (Marc), Zianna, Logan, Morgan, Nolan, Shelby, Tegan, Brooklynn, Arianna, Zechariah; great-great-grandchildren Mateo, Oliver; siblings Joyce (Charles) Lane, Barb (James) Dean, Sharon Smith.

Laura retired from R.L. Drake Co., after 30+ years of dedicated service. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Of her many hobbies she especially enjoyed gardening, tending her flowers, quilting, crocheting and cooking.

Laura’s family will receive friends at Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 East 2nd Street, Franklin, Ohio, Friday, June 19 starting at 10:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am with Reverend Mike Miracle presiding. Following services, Laura will be laid to rest next to her beloved Noah in Highland Cemetery, Miamisburg, Ohio.
