

Leonard Henderson Jr., died September 29, 2010 at Close to Home Nursing Home at the age of eighty-eight. He was born September 21, 1922, in Middletown, the son of Nannie and Leonard Henderson Sr. Leonard was a World War II Sergeant in the Air Force 352nd squadron, stationed in Bodney England during the war. He was a member of the Masonic Temple and Antioch Shrine Temple. He was the founder of Henderson Oil Company and owner of JP Transportation. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Henderson; parents, Nannie and Leonard Henderson Sr.; and brother, Harold Henderson. He is survived by his three children, Kenneth C. Henderson Rosie, Donald L. Henderson Diana, Patricia K. Hartman William; five grandchildren, Jeanie Willoughby, Ron Henderson, Tonya Patrick, Eric Hartman, Todd Hartman; and nine great grandchildren, Cassondra Willoughby, Cameron Henderson, Carissa Willoughby, Ryan May, Logan Henderson, Caylynn Willoughby, Kennedy Patrick, Laney Hartman, and Sierra Hartman. Funeral services will be 12:00 noon, Saturday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. David Moreland of the Zion Lutheran Church officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Woodside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 10 N.
