Lester Ray Bartimay Jr.

Lester Ray Bartimay,Jr., age 81, of Springboro, Ohio passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at his residence. He was born on September 27, 1942, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Lester Ray and Helen (Taylor) Bartimay,Sr. He was also preceded in death by his 1st wife, Judith (Hole) Bartimay.

Lester is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Mary Lou (Pfeifer) Bartimay; his daughter, Sharon Bartimay and husband, Will Grosz; a sister, Norma Shaffer; a nephew, Bradley Shaffer and a niece, Erica Shaffer.

Lester was a kind and quiet Christian man, who had a deep love for his family. He was a graduate of the University of Dayton with a degree in Electrical Engineering, an active member of Fairhaven Christian and Missionary Alliance Church and formerly had been employed at N.C.R. and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Lester enjoyed boating and woodworking.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 16, 2024, at Fairhaven Church Centerville, 637 E. Whipp Road, Centerville, Ohio 45459. The family will receive visitors at the time of the service at the church.
