Linda Spencer

Linda Faye Spencer, age 67, of Middletown, died Monday, March 05, 2012, at her residence. She was born October 21, 1944 in Wolfe County, Kentucky, the daughter of James Cockerham and Della Hollon Cockerham. Linda worked at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village retiring after 32 years as the Director of Housekeeping and Laundry. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Charles Spencer; three sons, Kenny Spencer of Middletown, Doug Spencer of Daphne, Alabama, Mark Spencer of Middletown; five grandchildren; her father, James Cockerham; six sisters, Carrie Phillips, Brenda Gabbard, Virgie Sharrett, Barbara Caudill, Joyce Wilder, Debbie Cockerham; one brother, Jim Cockerham; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother. The family wishes to thank Dr. Omer Hurlburt and staff for the wonderful care given to Linda and also Crossroads Hospice. Funeral services will be 11:30 AM Thursday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with Minister David Stidham officiating. Burial will be at the Woodside Cemetery.
